A good friend and fellow artist, Jerome Gonzalez, passed away earlier this year. He was a great artist, community activist, writer, and family man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. I was lucky enough to work with Jerome on many projects over the past few years and he was always a stand-up guy. I was especially moved by his passion and mission to spread love, knowledge and understanding so I worked up this illustration in his memory. It’s heavily inspired by his own words. So…to my dear friend Jerome, also know as Rome, Romie and Cuzo…rest in peace, brother. You may be gone, but never forgotten. One.
