My fellow Fresh Collective brother, Mimik and I did some live painting for Arts on Division in downtown Somerville a few weeks ago.
For my panel, I decided on painting a type mural inspired by the writing of Charles Bukowski. I’ve always loved this particular writing from him and wanted to give it my own spin and bring it to life. Here is his poem…
“My Dear,
Find what you love and let it kill you. Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness. Let it kill you and let it devour your remains. For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover.“
Big shout out to Jerome Gonzalez and everyone at Arts on Division for setting up the event and inviting the Fresh Collective to get down. And a special thanks for everyone that swung by to say hello!
